Move or Copy a SharePoint list PowerApps Custom Form

It would be nice to be able to create a SharePoint list PowerApps Custom Form in one site or list (e.g. development) and then be able to move it to another site or list (e,g, production). This would help with development and teting of new and updated forms before they are released to the production. This could also help with the reuse of form designs, so a person isn't always recreating the wheel.

Almost 2 years later and the feature still isn't there?

When Microsoft build PowerApps, guarantee they have Dev/Test/Prod environments (at least) that they use to develop new features. It amazes me they didn't deliver the ability to have different environments within PowerApps to start with as it's a basic development methodology.

It's also a bit of a problem in PowerBI, so they may be working on a unified approach? Some type of update from Microsoft would be good...

Agreed.  I know InfoPath was a round for a lot longer and so had more time to get things right and for all intents and purposes PowerApp Customized List are a very viable replacement.  But Microsoft having given no effort to allowing migration between Development and Production blows my mind.  This is without a doubt so very important.  That along with saving one template that all forms start from to ensure uniformity but that is secondary to the 50+ Hours I spend designing these applications.

Yes, a huge shame and seems like a massively overlooked deficiency in the PowerApps story.  Migrating PowerApps between SharePoint lists (e.g. promotion from DEV) seems incredibly tedious to do manually if it is truly possible at all.  And from a DevOps pipeline it seems impossible to automate.  But the issue does seem to be somewhat systemic to the Power Platform in general - the "enterprise grade" robustness required to take Power Platform stuff and package it for deployment and promotion through environments doesn't seem to be there yet.

Hopefully this "feature" will come soon - and it's been a long time coming!

Sorry, I am a bit late in enter this discussion.

I am facing the same problem.

Is this the best solution for now?

Any extra files (which are not mentioned in the above link) have to be amended in order to make it work?

Yes @_jason, that's basically it. But just know it is not supported by Microsoft. Also, you can use scripts that do the job for you:

We have a tool to migrate Sharepoint-based Flows and PowerApps between SharePoint Sites and Power Platform Environments. It creates the lists and libraries and also updates all references in the Power App and Flows.   Only thing you do is export the app/flows...  run them through our tool (P2P Express) , import them and then update the connectors in PowerApps after you import back into PowerApps. Some big companies are using this tool to set up Dev, Prod, and Production to support Application Lifecycle Management. Supports migrating standalone and embedded Flows
