Move or Copy a SharePoint list PowerApps Custom Form

It would be nice to be able to create a SharePoint list PowerApps Custom Form in one site or list (e.g. development) and then be able to move it to another site or list (e,g, production). This would help with development and teting of new and updated forms before they are released to the production. This could also help with the reuse of form designs, so a person isn't always recreating the wheel.

I found that if you use the desktop version of PowerApps (though it is significantly slower than using a 64-bit browser to edit), you can save a copy of the form to a local drive and then use that to save it on a different environment. It's a process to move to prod though, i.e. you have to remove the dev connections and then add the prod connections, but if the setup is the same it should be good to go as as soon as they are added.

How does this work for SharePoint customized forms? How do you re-integrate the forms with the new list in production.

Hi! For those who is looking for a forms solution allowing to include custom forms into a site template or at least deploy forms programmatically, I can recommend to take a look at Plumsail Forms. This tool allows you to design fully responsive forms for modern UI and deploy them programatically.

**bleep** ! I just started a project where I was planning to create custom list forms using Powerapps on a DEV site collection before deploying it to the PROD site collection...

I'll try Jowiko trick though...

So, when is this going to be available ?

This would help us to build forms in a more effective way.

Audrie I can’t see your comments on this, is it still in the pipeline?

I found a way to deploy custom list forms to another tenant.

Steps:

Export Package

Unzip

Package will contain 2 json files. Open 1 which naming is numerical.

change list, list guid and site name to target details.

save and zip again.

import package on your target tenant.

Then delete and re-create your data source. Done  🙂

Took me 15 min only.
