This issue has been raised several times on Connect and each time someone from Microsoft marks it as resolved and says it will be added to the roadmap. This has been going on for over 3 years as far as I can tell, with no sign of progress. Most competing software has this feature but it is still not present in Dynamics CRM. The usual workarounds (N:N relationships or storing text of selected options in a hidden field) do not work in a multi-language scenario. This is a fundamental, structural flaw in Dynamics CRM and needs addressing very rapidly. This need prioritising over cosmetic changes and improvements to the spin-off products (e.g. MDM and Social Listening). Our customers need this now - it comes up on every single implementation and it is an embarrassing omission.

This is should be a priority. All of the other Microsoft services support multi-select checkboxes, including SharePoint Lists and Microsoft Forms. Given that SharePoint Lists is one of the main data sources, it's baffling how it converts into a regular dropdown list with no indication that it's multi-select.  Even InfoPath supported multi-select checkboxes, multiple-sized comboboxes with checkboxes, etc.

Since Power Apps is being promoted as the InfoPath replacement and the main way to customize SharePoint List Forms, this really should be addressed as a priority.
