I agree that this is needed for the application.  There is a confusion especially when you starting selling deeply into SMB market around the idea they need to setup security specifically to match the license.

Clients are not going to take the initiative to create the security role and apply it to every Team Member (TM) user.  Most CRM partners are not going to be able to build a custom security role that will cover the exact minimum TM use-rights.  The only solution would be for Microsoft to create a custom security role and provide it to clients and partners with instructions on how to modify it when customizations are applied to entities associated with non-account and contact entities.

Totally agree. I personally, as well as a bunch of people in my team have wasted a lot of time researching this and we are still at odds over what the Team Member security roles should be set to.

Since we don't provide an OOB security role, there is a lot of confusion for our customers as to what should be enabled for a team member license.

I agree with this recommendation.  A template that had most of the permissions set for Read access across all of the entities would be a good start.

Agree - currently the available documentation is not clear enough. Microsoft needs to provide a template for this Security Role.

I totally agree with this although my vote "down for this idea" doesn't support that. Thanks MS for good user experience for first-time user...tried to find the "Vote" button and at some point noticed that arrows are links -> result: down-arrow didn't get me to "next Idea on the list".
