My proposal is a 24 hour on site daycare facility for all Mars associates.
I'm sure there are quite a few associates throughout each plant that struggle with finding adequate childcare that offers extended hours and doesn't cost half of their monthly income.
If childcare was a benefit for Mars associates at a reduced cost and matches associates work hours I believe we would see a decrease in emergency time off and an increase in new hires that become long term associates.
I am unsure of what the other sites look like, but here at BFP/BPP we have plenty of space for a small building to house a daycare facility and numerous associates whos families would benefit from on-site childcare.
