Currently there is a limitation of uploading a file attachment size to max of 10 MB. SInce SPO can accept upto 250 MB per file in a list item, it makes sense to increase the attachment size in PowerApps to 250MB.
We've removed the limit for attachments to support higher upload limits, as they become available by different connectors. It became available in 6.4 - Released version 3.21064 - Release Notes | Microsoft Docs
Hope this helps.
The upload limit has finally been increased to 100MB:
I have tried it and I could upload a 86MB file.
@FilipK & @kollikr when was this update rolled out? Also, are there any further plans to increase it to SP list's limit of 250MB?
Hi @HarmVane ,
that is great, however 100 MB is still to little 😞 I would have hoped at least 500 MB..
Hi @MASA no chance for 500MB as the size limit for SharePoint list attachments is 250MB presently ... What would be needed is a better integration of PowerApps with SharePoint document libraries to allow uploading documents directly into them, something what is still missing.
Thank you @chmoncayMSFT . Reading the release notes they state:
This sounds like there is no upper limit, but the above screenshot shows the upper limit for the attachment control is 100MB (when uploading to a SharePoint list). If there is no upload limit why is the limit not 250MB for a SharePoint list (i.e. determined by the list itself)?
Hi @chmoncayMSFT ,
so it would be really interesting to know is the new upload limit 100 MB or do you support even higher upload limits now?
@chmoncayMSFT I am also building a sharepoint file upload tool in Power Apps. The idea is to allow company meeting upload for all staff archival in a document library. I am finding that our ~500Mb files are timing out. What is the upper limit that we should expect now?
The tool connects Power App using Power Automate to SharePoint.
Hi @AndyWh ,
as I understand the file upload limit has been increased to just 100 MB, so for our business that is still to little and useless, hoping they would have increased it to 500 MB at least. 😞
Thank you @MASA, I saw your comment on that. The release notes in the link above states "Upper limit of 50MB has been removed from the attachments control." It would be great if they would update on the new limit of 100MB if that is indeed the case.
No worries @AndyWh ,
yes, I know users have tested up to 100 MB, but as you said it would be great with an official statment
have a nice day
