As this is designed for ENTERPRISE, printing from the within the APPS will make PowerApps superior to Excel and even ERP / SAP system.
If ONENOTE can be accomplished (for printing) after our request, why not PowerApps.

Hi everyone,

The first release includes a new Print function in canvas apps, to be used on any screen, and when used will take the contents of the screen and open it in the browser’s default print dialog to enable selecting the available printer, or saving to PDF options. We are also working on screen templates that will help you to author this content. Initially we will only support this on the web, but it will be extended to support mobile devices. Things are trending well with the dev effort, with the roll out starting the end of February, with availability across all regions coming mid March.

The second phase of this work will be to introduce a function that enables saving a screen as a PDF in the app. This will allow compatibility to leverage Power Automate flows to do many of the events such as saving it somewhere, sending an email and other common actions. This is currently still in progress, and we can provide an update in the next few weeks.

We perform an inhouse inventory and really need to print those items, along with their signature to a printer in the truck or even on the tech's belt.

How can we accomplish this task?  bluetooth printing of an html document or a PDF woudl be the best that i can think of.

We are looking to use the 'Muhimbi PDF' connector to generate PDFs and store them in Azure blob storage so we would need to grab the file from there and render to the printer.

I support printing from PowerApps!

Important need. As Microsoft might focus on a full digital world, paperless and with no hardcopies, this is not te world we are in. We still have customers who are not accepting a full digital operations, besides some legal stuff. And in the end, customers are paying our bill and so also Microsofts bill. So please get this idea prioritized. Any by the way. A user of a powerapps app should also have the possibility to perform this offline, with NO connection to flow or any packend service!

Power Automate
Status changed to: Planned

Enhancements for reporting options, such as exporting data from galleries, is on the roadmap. In the meantime you may print using standard browser screen printing approaches.

We will continue to keep you posted on this the work progresses.

Thank you for your patience,

Confirmed: I can print the contents of an app in both Chrome and Edge. By default, the browser can turn off background colors by negating the Fill property of controls easily--HOLY MOLY. This saves youa ton of  ink and coding. But if you want the colors back on, you can just toggle them back on.

Thanks for the update, @Audrie-MSFT!

Super User

I have use been using CDS for my data and have been able to successfully do a mail merge from Powerapps by creating a collection, shaping it and saving it to an Excel datasource (stored as a table) on One Drive and/or Dropbox.  I then use Word to do the Mail Merge for invoices, form letters and reports.  For more details see my comments to a post in the general Discussion section about a month ago.  "reports or mailmerge in powerapps"

; I look forward to any comments.

Power Apps

@Shais   It's not a top level request. It's not bottom either, it's in the higher end of the middle.  There are a quite a few big things that are currently higher (like file attachments, image attachments, better delegation support, Web / responsive layout, etc.).  I know it's frustrating but I want to acknowledge that we know about it and are keeping track of it.  It's not on the immediate near term list.

This is by far not a good solution to the print issue with PowerApps but it sort of works. Use a flow to send an email with all of the field information you need to print or save. When you receive the emai, it can be printed, saved and or forwarded. You now have a less than perfect file, but it works.
