SharePoint Online : Support "Managed Metadata" fields with people picker in PowerApps

It appears that currently "Managed Metadata" columns in SP are not supported by PowerApps. Is support for this column type on the roadmap? I am wondering why termstore related data is not by default supported by other Microsoft products. The PowerBI connector also does not support these column types, any specific reason?

Support for Managed Metadata is basically the go/no-go issue for us to adopt PowerApps as a "client" to our SharePoint solutions

Nothing on the roadmap?

Most definitely planned... I will keep you updated as we solidify release dates though. As long as I status these as "Planned" the feature area is on the roadmap. In this case, it is not expected in this quarter, but I will keep you posted as we approach release.

Please continue to provide your feedback and ideas, we appreciate your input! Thank you for your patience as we evolve the product.

Hello everyone, Does any workaround to use MMD with methods such as Filter, SortByColumns, ...? Has anyone done that in PowerApp list/Gallery?

Power Automate Staff

@ehakimiThis is not possible today, however it is on our roadmap.

Thanks Audrie for the update, It would be great if you could give us a rough estimate such as one month, quarter or one year and so on. So we can manage users expectation. Regards,

As some months have passed: What is the current status of this request? MMD would make PowerApps much more powerful (no pun intended) for SP apps, as we can all agree.
Is there a planned timeline already, or are we still in the non-comitted "planned"-phase?
