To start with let me state that I'm a big fan of PowerApps, it brings the ability to make apps to the masses, which in turn allows us to "automate" many of the day to day tasks that are ever present in any work place.
Secondly thank you for the great sample Apps that help us visualise what is possible and inspire us to make apps, and they are a great learning tool, which brings me to my point.
For a beginner at this, the documentation while good still leaves a lot to desire and what would go a long way is if you made blogs/videos/webinars talking us through the design/build considerations and generally explain how the app was built and how certain challenges were met.
This would make it so much easier to learn and also expedite the process. The more of us that get to learn build apps, the bigger the momentum the larger the success for everyone, Microsoft included. It's a "win win" situation.
Your feedback has been heard! We are currently working on several improvements planned for release in Q2. These include site navigation and design improvements, new tutorials in Guided Learning, additional syntax examples in the knowledge base articles, weekly product blogs on topics being asked for in the forums, and in-product help text. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the end result releasing sometime in Q2, and continuing as an ongoing enhancement program.
Thank you for your continued feedback and support,
Audrie
