Sync AD and CRM user details

Author Name: Krishna Sandeep Reddy Tamma

When a staff member changes his role or team or his name changes, currently we need to update it both in AD and CRM. Is there any where we can just update in AD and CRM somehow gets it automatically.

It would be better if it happens immeditely but as CRM doesn't know when a changes happens in AD we can have a nightly job to sync both AD and CRM.

Status: Planned

Thank you for your feedback. This is a great suggestion! We will consider this in our roadmap.

Many customers ask for this feature ... they dont want to have multiple ponts to update user and would prefer a autoupdate of user attributes from AD as sharepoint does it. The ability to add custom fields for synchronization would be nice (as it is possible in sharepoint). I suggest to set up a AD to CRM sync only .. so the AD will be the point to update teh user data. If a customer wants the users to provide the ability to add the user date this could be done with sharepoint ..

Agreeing with Christian - the sync with AD would have to be one-way from AD. Most organizations would not like users to be able to change their AD records from an outside source. But it would be a handy feature if it did a sync as part of a maintenance plan.

Would love to see this out of the box, in the meantime get a developer to build it for you.
