At the moment we can customise forms using PowerApps in custom list.
I would like to be able to do the same thing in document libraries.

At "Ignite | The Tour" in Feb-19 I was "promised" it would be available in Q2-19.
Seems like a no-brainer really. Hopefully this will be available sooner rather than later.
Is there any word on if/when this might be included?
It would solve a number of critical issues for us.

I cant believe this STILL has not been done! I can't add forms for a doc lib with powerapps. I cant add custom forms in classic mode using SPD if the doclib has over 5k Items.
So therefore we cannot customize forms in any way for document libraries with over 5000 items.
c'mon microsoft, this sucks

This has been "promised" and "under review" for over two years.
At the moment there is no way to modify the default Document Library forms (CreateScreen, EditScreen, ViewScreen) correctly.
To be clear, I can use PowerApps to edit the default forms, but there is no way to add a new Document or Document set to the library. I have been inside and out with PowerApps and a Custom List in SharePoint, and I would be happy to share some of my custom code. But, with PowerApps not being able to edit the Document Library forms, we are looking for another non-Microsoft solution.
I also see the roadmap item's status has been updated to "Rolling Out" in CY2020.
