Write to the Plug-in Trace Log from assemblies outside SandBox

Author Name: Jonas Rapp

Using the ITracingService only works for plug-ins registered in SandBox.

Since this service is so much better/easier to use than e.g. logging to file on the server, this should be enabled also when using plug-ins not registered in isolation.

Status: Declined

Our focus is on enabling the online service where plug-ins can only be run in the sandbox. This request can only be used for plug-ins running in an on-premises environment, it doesn't represent the direction we are headed. We will instead invest in making developing and debugging sandbox plug-ins better.

The comments referring to the archived CRM 2016 documentation refer to an error that says 'full-trust' plug-ins running in the sandbox, but miss the point that you can't register a full trust plug-in in the sandbox. Archived content is not maintained. For the latest content see:

MSDN article describing where it should be available: "Tracing is supported for sandboxed (partial trust) and full trust registered custom code and during synchronous or asynchronous execution"

Very useful to have this feature enable for non sandbox register plugins

I'm not sure why this is labeled new as this is a bug and SHOULD work according to the documentation.  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328574.aspx?f=255&mspperror=-2147217396#Anchor_3
