get sharepoint groups from sharepoint site in power apps

HI,

It would be good to fetch all the SharePoint groups into power apps based on the SharePoint site its connected with. If we need to check if a user belongs to which SharePoint group then it’s not possible now.

If Microsoft wants to establish a new way to create form like people did with Infopath they should implement the permission model quick to ensure the full functionality. This thing is crucial for creating forms.

If you are still looking for a solution, check out my post on how you can achieve Role based security in PowerApps using SP groups. Hopefully this feature will be on their roadmap sometime soon.

Absolutely essential to customize SharePoint forms. PowerApps is a core part of SharePoint for O365 and needs to be fully compatible with SharePoint User's expectations. Highly recommend that this be part of the nearterm rollout.
