this work is now planned. All of the connection types you discuss above are "implicit" connections. We are currently in arch design discussions to address this.

Hi,
In the latest release, below is the behavior and that is an improvement from the behavior mentioned in this issue.:
1. When you try to navigate away from the record by clicking on '+New' when it has been newly created, a warning is shown to the user asking him to save the record.
2. If user updates a record that has been saved and auto-save has been turned on, the record gets saved automatically when the user clicks on '+New'.
3. If user updates a record that has been saved before and auto-save is off, a warning is shown to the user asking him to save the record.
We will look into addressing the concern of having a 'Save and New' button in a future release.
Thanks,
Neerja Rewal

This feature is on our roadmap but has been delayed. It is expected after October 2020.
Some of the asks are already a part of grids functionality e.g. dynamic filtering, clicking headers for sorting, re-size columns using the mouse. A few of the asks like - inline editing ,automatic column widths are planned short term. We will include a few other good suggestions like grouping, frozen columns , in our roadmap.
Thanks,
Neerja, PM, Microsoft

This feature idea is actively being discussed and we see the value it will bring. If as part of it we were to support incrementally adding entities to an existing app with the predefined templating of the current App from Data, would that be useful?
Thank you for your feedback. We are re-categorizing this feedback to get it in front of the right team.

As a workaround today, javascript can be used to set the default value of the date time field onload(). We, however, are tracking this request and will consider adding to our future roadmap.
