Did you mean:

remove "Show Chart" ,"Import from Excel" and "Create view" buttons from model driven app.

We should have ability to customize hide/show of following out of the box buttons from Model-Driven app:

  • Show Chart
  • Import From Excel
  • Import From CSV
  • Create View

I agree, and ideally the whole toolbar should be editable with different options based on different roles (such as Admins see one thing, users see something else)

Hi Casey,

Thanks for your reply.

It seems that the mentioned buttons are OOB Inbuild buttons and hence cannot be removed using Ribbon Workbench. This seems to be a restriction at this moment, hence posted the idea to see if this gets picked up and implemented in future releases.

For more reference, you can look at this post:

Agreed.

We don't use Charts and the dominant position of this pseudo-button on the ribbon is distracting to users and uses up a valuable prominent position.

TO hide the create view option in model driven, please try below steps. It worked for us.

  1. Go to advanced settings
  2. settings - security roles - select the security role
  3. core records tab
  4. search for saved view
  5. selecting the option as none for create column.

it will hide the create view option for that particular security role. Thanks!

Why not to use Ribbon Workbench app deployed within XrmToolBox?

Cheers, K.

We couldn't find a way to hide these menu via Ribbon workbench. I could be wrong.

Moreover Ribbon workbench changes apply to all security roles and above option can be restricted to particular security role which we found to be added advantage.

I haven't tried Ribbon workbench deployed with xrmtoolbox. Kindly let us know if it was possible to hide these options via ribbon workbench deployed within xrmtoolbox.

Thanks,
