Advanced form with multiple tables

Hello,

This is probably simple, but I've been going through all the form/step options and cannot figure it out. I'm working with an advanced form that pulls tabs from a form from Accounts table. This account form includes a subgrid from Contacts table (there is an 1:N from Account to Contacts). I set up the advanced form to move through the tabs, and it lets the user create a new contact but it's not associated to the account like I intended. I have the subgrid in the metadata section of the step, but can't seem to figure out how to connect the new contact to the account from previous steps. I would appreciate any guidance - thanks!

Hi, can you add snapshots of your Advanced form configuration? what you should have is something like this:

  • Step 01
    • Account
    • Form X: Tab 01 (basic account info)
    • Insert mode
  • Step 02
    • Account
    • Form X: Tab 02 (subgrid to contact)
    • Edit mode (result from previous step)
    • Metadata to add subgrid
      • add actions within subgrid

I don't think any further configuration is required from what I can remember

I had it as 'Insert' mode instead of Edit - that solved it. THANK YOU!
