Bug - Request timeout when using progress indicator and work flow steps loop

When loading a web page in portals (the front-end) that is configured to use a web form meeting the following conditions the http request will time out:

1) A web form step whose Next Step field is configured to a previous step, creating a loop

2) Enabling the Progress Indicator

It seems that the progress indicator gets caught in an infinite loop when it tries to enumerate and list the steps when rendering the page. I can imagine a scenario where a web form loops back on itself but the progress indicator should detect loops and not crash. If A -> B -> C -> A then the progress indicator could display A, B, C for example.

Hi @timpartridge ,  As you mentioned clearly this may be a bug. Better to raise a support ticket with Microsoft.

Before reporting could you please try the following steps.

Once you added your web form steps > click save and close in portal management and then

1. https://yourdomain/_services/about > Go to this url and press " Clear Cache button" ( You should have portal admin rights to perform this operation)

2. If not Edit your app > and press "Sync Configuration" and click "Browse Website" button"

3. After this step  > Try your portal in incognito  window. Assuming you dont have any extensions installed especially adblockers.

Please give a try.
