Hi
I'm creating a portal, but can't create a login for the portal. Any google search try ends up with the wrong information.
I just need to create an admin account for the portal I've created.
Can someone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Figured it out, the username field was hidden and I was assuming it was the email address.
Thanks for your help all
Hi @lee-martin
FYI. By default portal has three default web roles
1. Administrator
2. Authenticated user
3. Anonymous user
If you want admin login, below are the steps
Local registration (deprecated)
1. Once user registered to the portal, then portal will create a contact.
In portal management
1. Click contact > filter by all contacts
2. Choose the contact you have created / find the contact
3. Choose related > web roles > add existing web role
4. Add administrator web role
5. Hit save and close
Using Azure AD
1. Allow user to sign in to the portal first via azure AD
2. Once they have signed in
3 you can find a contact in portal management
4. Follow steps from 1 to 5 from previous method
In portal studio
1. Click sync config and browse the website
2. Hit ctrl + F5 for changes
Hope it helps.

thank you, that's what I've done, but it doesn't give me a password to use so I can log in - how do i do that?
Hi @lee-martin
So you have registered for local login? If so you can recreate the invite in portal management or you can reset the password in signin screen
Hope it helps.

I did set up an invite but nothing arrived in the email account.
Is there a tutorial or something you could direct me towards?
Hi @lee-martin
Can you check your junk mail box? Try with new email id and see if the problem persist.
are you using local login or Azure AD? if Azure AD you don't need password
if Local Login, you can set the password in a Dialog available in the Contact record:
