Is it possible to have an impact on Search results via webroles or javascript?

Hi All,

we are using two different navigation's Web Link Sets and would like to limit the entity lists/search results based on the web link set. I am thinking about two different approaches - first with access restrictions/web roles or if not possible via javascript.

Please advise.

BR,

Miha

Hello Miha,

It is definitely possible to have Search modified to display certain entities only depending n logged in user role.

Just make sure to add the relevant entities in the relevant site settings (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/configure/search#entities-searchable-in-por...).

The resulting set will always be restricted by web roles and access control rules.

Cheers!

Hi @mihamocnik ,

If my understanding is right , your issue is already addressed by @timl . Please have a look at the following thread

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/PowerApps-Portal-How-to-Limit-Page-Visibilit... .

And adding how to implement the restriction on entity data is written by Nick Doelman

Hope it gives you some idea on this.
