Portal - PowerBI licensing and deployment

Hi All, just wondering if people can give me any feedback on what it's like to setup and deploy PowerBI for the portal for clients and the monthly licensing costs around it. I'm also after some real experiences around whether it's worth the effort to deploy, how you push through updates as an ISV and things you found out after giving it a go. I've reviewed the documentation and pricing, but it really felt unclear and that in itself is troublesome:

        You are right, we have experienced a similar situation in the past.  Long story short, we have ended up paying for Power BI premium instead of Power BI embedded. As an ISV, Power BI embedded is cheaper for you. And the only place you have to refer for pricing is

Thanks for the response. I know my initial query was a bit broad, but it worries me that there's no experience or even feedback from MS on this board. Feels like custom solutions may still be the better path given unknowns around something as significant as licensing and deployment.
