Unable to enable Sharepoint integration

I previously had a trial portal that I was using as a proof of concept for a project. The project was approved, the trial expired, and I created a new production portal.

On the trial portal, I was able to enable Sharepoint integration to allow document uploads to entities. I am trying to enable Sharepoint integration for the new production portal, and I cannot. I click the link, after a few seconds I am brought to a login page, and when I log in I am redirected to the portal admin home page. I see this message on the sharepoint integration page:

"SharePoint Integration for this portal couldn’t finish. You need to provide consent to the changes made in Azure Active directory application which are required for this integration to work. Also without providing consent, your Azure AD login on the portal will not work as well. Please click here to provide consent."

I click the link for providing consent, and the same thing happens - I am prompted to log in, and am redirected to the portal admin home page.

Is there another way to enable Sharepoint integration?  Would it be possible to go directly into Azure Active Directory and enabling permissions manually? Maybe a PowerShell command I can run?

In case this happens to other people in the future, Microsoft customer support showed me a workaround I was able to use to enable Sharepoint integration before the bug actually got fixed:

1. In the Azure Active Directory portal, open up App Registrations

2. Search for your portal under "all applications"

3. Go to API Permissions

4. I had to remove a bad permission (that was apparently the cause of this bug) - it showed up as a guid under the section of Sharepoint permissions, while all other permissions have a name

5. Click to add a new permission and search for Office 365 SharePoint Online

6. Add TermStore.Read.All as a delegated permission

7. Go back to the Portal admin page and enable sharepoint integration so you get the "accept consent" screen

8. Done!

The three SharePoint permissions that get enabled are:

Sites.FullControl.All - Application

TermStore.Read.All - Delegated

TermStore.ReadWrite.All - Application

@dpana - There was a recent problem in the portal integration with SharePoint due to some changes on SharePoint API side and users did report this same problem enabling new integrations . The issue has been fixed and the release is currently underway, it should be completed by this weekend ; so if you do not see this fixed beyond this time, please log a service ticket and PM me the details.
