@OnlyRodd -

  • Create a new page and configure a form on it - instructions here
  • On your entity list enable view details and specify in the dropdown the page created in earlier step - instructions here
  • Browse website and see that the first column on the list is now a link which when clicked opens the record in the new page in a form.

Re: contact list and populate form

Hi @OnlyRodd ,

Could you

1)tell me what is your data source? sharepoint list or cds?

2)describe more clearly about the action of "select an element of contact list and populate to another form"? If you could describe with screenshoots, it will help me understand a lot.

I need to know:

1)whether the form has relationship with contact list?

2)whether you want to get all the fields data of the selected item?

3)which field value that you want to get in contact list and what is the field's data type?

4)what control in the form that you want to display the data, which field that the control represents , the field's data type?the control's key properties?

If you just want to create a form to edit the selected contact item, you just need to set the form's data source: contact list,

set the form's Item:

Gallery1.Selected
//please replace with your gallery's name

(I assume that you choose contact item in a gallery)

Then the form will display the gallery's selected item of  contact list.

I want to fill in the admin user form with the name , email addres, phone .address

Re: contact list and populate form

Hi @OnlyRodd ,

Do you want to define some Prepopulate fields in a form?

The first step, you need to insert a form and list, relate them together. You could consider the link that he provided @sandeepd .

Then, define Prepopulate fields in your form.

Here are some docs about this for your reference:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/configure/configure-web-form-metadata

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Portals/Associate-current-portal-user-on-insert-optio...

Re: contact list and populate form

Hi @OnlyRodd ,

I've found a solution that may works for you.

You could use Liquid to add dynamic content directly to the Copy field of a webpage or the content of a content snippet.

The "selected  item in the list " could be seen as the dynamic content.

Here's a doc about this for your reference:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/liquid/liquid-overview
