Hi,

I have created  one component using pcf and in render method added some html like<div>.Now on click of button I want to open this component in new window of browser is there any way around to do this?

Another one -is there any way to create Html webresource in pcf like we can create the webresource for image?

Re: Open PCF Compoennt in new window of browser and create html webresource in pcf

You can take a look at setFullScreen https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/component-framework/reference/mode/setfullscree... PCF API which opens the dismissable overlay with the control content . Popup service https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/component-framework/reference/popupservice is another option where custom overlay on the same screen can be added.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/component-framework/reference/navigation/openur... can be used to open the new window using URL.  You can call a web resource URL using this and pass the parameters via web resource parameter passing if needed. Note that the dependency would not be tracked here and PCF can be installed without the web resource.

We do have concepts of full page PCF controls which pre-existed before we started canvas app PCF support and they dont fit very well in the new unified design.  Custom pages is the future (currently in private preview) and will address need of having a full custom canvas  with native and PCF controls embedded .
