Let me start with HELP! I've tried everything I can find.
I'm trying to author new SSRS reports for our PowerApps model-driven app and I can author them fine, but when I go to preview the report in VS2019 is fails to authenticate and gives me the error:
"You don't have permission to access any of the organizations in the Microsoft Common Data Service region that you specified. If you're not sure which region your organization resides in, choose "Don't know" for the CDS region and try again. Otherwise check with your CDS administrator."
I have System Administrator role in the environment and I'm the PowerApps Admin and Global Admin in the O365 tenancy. I don't think it's a permissions issue.
I've setup my workstation according to the guide outlined here, Set Up Your Workstation to Create SSRS Reports for Dataverse and it worked great for a while. But recently something's changed and now I cannot preview any report in the dev environment without hitting that authentication error.
I've Googled the heck out of this and have tried EVERYTHING that's been suggested but nothing helps. I can deploy the report into PowerApps and preview it there fine but it really really slows down the development cycle. Is anyone else having this issue and what have they tried to resolve it?
My thought is that the D365/PowerApps SSRS extension team is behind the release 8-ball with the security changes relating to TLS 1.2 but that's just a suspicion at this point. HELP PLEASE
I assume you've tried signing in again?
Yes. That was the first thing I tried.
I don't think it has anything to do with Visual Studio and the credentials used to log into VS, but rather changes to PowerApps/D365 and the way the VS Reporting Projects Extension uses the FetchXML Report Authoring Extension and passes THOSE credentials (which you enter in a separate window from the VS credentials) over to PowerApps/D365 and how it handles the response.
