pac pcf push fail

I'm running into this error with the pac pcf push command:

 Import Solution Failed with following error: The forceupdate flag for the control XX.Xrm.PcfControls.ExampleControl is set to true but the control version in the solution is less than the control version in CDS. Please make sure the versions are atleast equal.

So far I have kept the version the same within the control.manifest and matched the versions within the solution.xml with the one reflected in the cds.

I think this control was manually imported originally but because this control has many dependencies I would rather use the command line than have to remove and re-import.

The Source control for the code was not updated to reflect the correct version number that was represented in the solution.  After exporting the solution from the cds and checking the control.manifest I was able to resolve this issue and even increment the version number.
