Avoiding the Flow Infinite Loop

Last week I posted an article on my personal blog about the infinite loop and it caused quite a bit of discussion in the community. Apparently many people are struggling with this issue, you can read more about it in the Microsoft Flow Community.

In my article I describe the infinite loop and offer one solution to avoid it with links to articles with solutions by other comunity members, John Liu and Mikael Svenson. Read my article here. 

Mikael Svenson wrote an article on how to use SystemUpdate, which is only available via the JSOM/CSOM/Native SharePoint API’s, and not the REST API to avoid infinite loop.  

John Liu wrote an article on how to use the ValidateUpdateListItem REST API to avoind infinite loop

Daniel Laskewitz and Sandy Ussia discuss the infinite loop and many other pieces of Flow news on their third episode of The Flow Pro Show.
