In this tutorial you will learn how to use a flow button from the Power Automate mobile app to check the availability of domain names. If a domain name is available, it will be added to a Microsoft Excel table and you will receive a push notification in the Power Automate mobile app with a link to register the domain through BlueHost.com. If a domain is unavailable, it will be added to another table and you will receive a push notification with the expiration date and a link to the Excel file that it was just added to. If a domain is already listed on either table, a push notification will also be received.
This can be a useful tool if you are brainstorming ideas to use for your domain name but are not quite ready to decide on which one to use. It could also be useful to keep track of domain names that you are interested in purchasing if the current owner lets it expire.
To follow along, you will need a Microsoft 365 account with access to Power Automate. You will also need to download the mobile apps for Power Automate (Android / iOS) to use the flow button and receive push notifications and Office Mobile (Android / iOS) to open the Excel file on a mobile device.
