This one's for Education.
When students upload their work to an Assignment in Teams, the Flow Bot sends you a message in a Chat.
It will also post a thumbnail and a live link to their work in the Student Work channel, which you need to have created in advance.
(In your Class Team, create a new channel and name it "Student Work"; in Manage Teams go the the Channels tab and untick Member can View).
Then simply customise the flow to your class by filling in the fields in the three sections - click +Add Connection, and replace text marked by an asterisk.
You need to be aware that students' uploaded files go into your Sharepoint account, and that the live link will take you out of Teams and to view the file in a browser.
Great Work. I tried creating a flow that did the same thing, however, it never seemed to trigger. According to some forum (can't remember where) this flow couldn't happen because it would not recognize files that were added within sub folders. How did you get this to work?
Didn't have to worry about it!
When making the flow, I was allowed to point it to "Student Work / Submitted Files" and the thing just ran!
Maybe behind the scenes there were some changes in between yours and mine . . .
Pretty cool. Thanks.
What I would like to be able to do is when an Assignment hits it's due date, post me an email of students that have not submitted work.
Any ideas how to do that one?
I haven't I'm afraid, but probably Microsoft don't know either . . .
Thanks for this.
I adapted a version with a Condition because it was sending me three messages (one for each folder automatically created and one for the actual file) every time a student uploaded their work. It is sending me a message when students turn-in Word documents or PDFs, but not when they upload JPGs. Any idea why?
I love the Condition, well done!
BUT I don't know why you don't get the notification for Jpgs - using my original template, I get notifications for all file types, including Jpgs.
