Building a CSS Selector Tool

So, I'm looking to build a tool that helps you test multiple CSS web page selectors all in one go.
I'm not sure how to put it together yet and would like some help with it.

Effectively it would function like this:
1a) *Person sets up the tester with the correct url to go to and a handful of individual selectors to test.

1b) Open url

2) Try selecter #1,

3) Check to see if it worked or not.

4) if it worked, return to previous page.

5) record that it worked.

6) move on to selector #2 and repeat the whole process.

7) when done, output which selectors worked.
