Click an UI element from Google Chrome

Hi all,

I am trying to automate adding new profile process in Chrome, and it works fine for the 6-7 new profiles, then it gives me this error when trying to click on Add button.

Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Robin.SDK.ActionException: Click failed (failed to get UI element)
   at Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Modules.UIAutomation.Actions.ClickElementInWindow.Execute(ActionContext context)
at Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Robin.Engine.ActionRunner.RunAction(String action, Dictionary`2 inputArguments, Dictionary`2 outputArguments, IActionStatement statement)

Is there anything can I do so

I’ve heard of people having scrolling issues. So, they weren’t able to click on a link that wasn’t physically visible on the screen. If this is the case, you will have to see one of those posts to see their ultimate solution. If this is the case, it creates another question:

Do the numbers for the button move?  I have seen some say, I do 1-6, then I have to scroll down; now 7 becomes 1. So they almost have to create a sub-loop whereby they get” if 7 doesn’t exist, send keys {page down}, next loop, if 1 is same as 6, skip, click next one.”

Best of luck!

It seems that many chrome instance remain open in Taskmanager. Try killing chrome instances from taskmanager with Run Poweshell action before launching Chrome action.

I hope the above will help.

I solved the issue by traversing to Add button using arrow keys and I set wait commands before the clicks.

I hope this will help others, and thank you all to your answers.
