Hello Power Automate Community,
How can I copy an item attachment from one SharePoint list to another list based on a mutual value?
Here is the scenario:
I have created two share point lists.
The first list items are created when a Microsoft form is submitted by a user. There is a column in list with submitter's email address entered manually. This list has no attachment as MS form has no upload file for anonymous submitter.
The second list's items are created via another flow. When a user sends an email to a mailbox and attaches a file, an item will be created in the list including the email address of the sender as well as the email attachment. There is a column in this list that has the senders email address.
Is there a way to create another flow that can get the attachment from the second list and add it to the first list based on the same value for email addresses in both lists? This means that all information submitted on MS form and the attachment received by email could be gathered in one place than two separate lists.
Please let me know if you need further information.
Thanks,
Richard
How can I do this directly in a canvas app without using Power Automate? Is that possible?
I want to copy the attachments from an item in list A to an existing item in a totally different list, call it list B. It does not seem like PowerApps allows for programmatically copying attachments between items in different SharePoint lists. Can someone confirm if this is true?
See my response in this other thread.
