Error parsing and creating a JSON object | Power Automate Desktop

I am trying to create a JSON object after reading the structure from a text file (UTF-8).

Here are my steps:

  • Read the text file to create a variable which contains the JSON string : {
    "name": "Joe Smith",
    "address": "1234 Main St"
  • On using "Convert JSON to custom object" to convert the text in that variable to an object, I get the following error.

Robin.Core.ActionException: Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: G. Path '', line 0, position 0.
at Robin.Modules.Variables.Actions.ConvertJsonToCustomObject.Execute(ActionContext context)
at Robin.Runtime.Engine.ActionRunner.RunAction(String action, Dictionary`2 inputArguments, Dictionary`2 outputArguments, IActionStatement statement)

Not sure what I am doing incorrect. Any suggestions?

Thanks a heap!
