Interact with unattended RPA queue

So I have an automation that starts processing with a cloud flow and then triggers an unattended desktop flow (running with 2 machines).

All is working great, but a lot of times the requests are stuck in the queue, which is fine, but I would like to increase transparency to the user base, by sending a teams notification once the process is actually starting to process.

It already notifies the user when cloud flow is completed (and queued for the desktop processing) and when the desktop flow is completed (successful or with an error), but i would like to add a notification step to inform once the unattended desktop flow starts processing.

A condition like: when the queue status changes to Running, then send a Teams chat.

Is this possible or any form of interaction from the cloud flow with the unattended RPA queue?

1) go to cloud flow, give a trigger, when http request is received. Add another action after that. Then copy the url from the trigger.

2) go to desktop flow, search web api, and drag and drop it. Open it.

3) in url add the url u got from cloud flow. Where ever there is %2F, replace it with a slash(/). Then open advance, and off the option of encode url.

4) optional, if u are sending something you can add it to the body.

I hope you understand my steps, if you didn't understand any step, just reply. Or if u want explanation for a step also reply.

I'm not aware of anything, but you could send an email from within the bot at the very start.

Ok, so for this what you can do is, after the first action in your desktop flow you can run a sublfow, where you will be invoking a cloud flow that will send a notification that desktop flow has started running. After the subflow for invoking the cloud flow, you can start another subflow that will continue the remaining steps of your desktop flow. (Add all the steps after the 1st step of the desktop flow in the 2nd subflow if possible or something similar).

How do you call a cloud flow from within a desktop flow?

I am curious as well how to call a cloud flow from a desktop flow?

Thanks Sundeep,

Conceptionally I get it, and it is a great idea and should resolve my issue... but it doesn't seem to run.

So lets start, when i search in the desktop flow actions I do not see anything called "web api", but choose "Invoke web service" instead. See below option when searching web:

For the Invoke web service method, i choose the following options and copied the URL from the cloud flow and set a simple request body. As instructed i set in advanced the "Encode request body" to off.

When I run the desktop flow, the cloud flow that should be triggered is not being triggered. What am i doing wrong.

@MichaelP82 oh sorry my bad, I was travelling so was in a hurry, it's web service only not web api. Did you do that %2F to slash(/) in url?And I am not sure but in body you have json format and in accept and content type option you have given XML. Try these changes. Let's see if that works.

Awesome!!! Yes, i just had to change the content type to "application/json" and it worked. Also the parameter got passed along. Very happy about that.

Many thanks.
