@e32 I am getting an impression that you are evaluating RPA tools. If yes, then Power automate desktop should be compared with UiPath as of now. As PAD is still evolving.
UiPath should be compared with AA, Robocorp, electroneek etc and also consider the learning curve and costs while doing the comparison.
However, If you want to reap the benefits of MS PAD. I would recommend you to bring power automate cloud into the mix and see if your workflow/business process can be automated using Power automate for desktop and Power automate cloud integration.
You can call dlls using PAD, APIs can used as trigger the workflow etc.
