PAD Drop down list

Dear community,

I am facing similar issues w drop down list where I am unable to choose the option from the drop down list using the Action "Set Drop down list in window". However, I could not find a workable solution online.

I am trying to select the option by the index. Even when I put an index of "1", it still says select list does not contain index 1 while in fact there is a few options in the list as shown below. I am hoping not to use "Send Hotkeys" and when I Desktop record, it does not track properly too. Any help on this? Thank you!

Below is the detail of the error:

Could you please provide a link to the webpage (Unless it's a company webpage) or a part of the web source text, where the input "windows is present.
Would also be nice if you could show the UI element of the dropdown list.

Which type of element are you using with the action? Should ideally be a Combo Box or similar.

Hi @lp4

From your screenshot it looks like you are looking to access an UserForm in Excel.

If so, are you able to you enter the value as below if index is not working?

Yes, I am able to select name. However, the it does not remove the existing selection and just adds on to it. I tried using same action Set drop-down list value to clear but it still does not work.

Is there a reason why it is not reading the indexes properly? as the error says list does not contain the option index: 1, which should not be the case as there is a few options from the dropdown.

The element is a Combo Box.

Hi @lp4

I see what you are saying when you mention "just adds to it".

First clear the text with an empty string and then select the dropdown.

This is working fine.

Use %""% in the below box which stands for an empty string
