Power Automate desktop with SAP Click on UI element failed and change date format

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie with Power Automate and this is the greatest app I have ever used.

My first try is on SAP Netweaver and I have 2 problems like below. Pls help me to solve it.

1.  After run SAP, on the screen I set a Click on UI element to choose a System connection but it always error:

Double click failed (failed to get UI element)

Robin.Core.ActionException: Double click failed (failed to get UI element)
at Robin.Modules.UIAutomation.Actions.ClickElementInWindow.Execute(ActionContext context)
at Robin.Runtime.Engine.ActionRunner.RunAction(String action, Dictionary`2 inputArguments, Dictionary`2 outputArguments, IActionStatement statement)

2. I skip the step 1 and using manual log on. I want to export data from period of time (choosing date to date)

I add the action "Display select date dialog" for from first date to end. Its format default is m/dd/yyyy (eg. 2/24/2021).

then I add "Convert text to datetime" with custom format: dd.mm.yyyy (because SAP only get that format)

The resutl could not like my want.

Please help me for this. I am very grateful to you!

Thanks,

Hello,

1. Power Automate Desktop is just a re-invented UI version of WinAutomation. I don't have experiences in SAP but please have a look at this since you have to have some Settings in SAP to make it works with your flows.

Interaction with SAP

2. Converting text to Datetime is just converting your text to a Datetime object, it can't change your format, the option in this action for "Date is represented in custom format" is just helping you to specify the custom format if your original text had. It is not the target format of the action. So, if you want to convert to another format. Then you have to have a new action "Convert datetime to text" with your format: dd.MM.yyyy

Thanks and hope it can help you.

Thanks @miketran13 for your help.

1. I am not authorized to use that transaction but I can log on right now by using many steps like: filter the connection field, write exactly text.....

2. I think my mistake is use "Display select date dialog" => "Date range (2 Dates)"

If I use "Single date" then "Convert to text", It works.
