Turn on laptop

I need to detect my laptop when it is on, but I don't know how I can detect it with power automate desktop. My idea is to run a process (automatically) when I turn on my computer. Could someone help me?

Regards,

David

Hi David,

In my opinion, that is not a good idea to run a process when a computer is started. Because you can only trigger PAD flow by an event from the Cloud flows likes: New email received, new item added, etc, or you can schedule it to run automatically or run it manually.

However, if it is important and you need to do that to meet your requirements, I think you need to create a custom Window Service. This service will be automatically started when the computer is started, and then it needs to send an email to an email address to trigger your PAD flow. That is my opinion, you might have other ideas to do that.

Thanks and hope it can help you.

Mike
