A way to limit the number of concurrent running instances of a single flow

It would be useful to be able to set the number of instances of a single flow that can be running at the same time. Similar to the way "apply to each" actions work currently. I have a few flows dealing with updating sharepoint items, and I have noticed that if the same flow is triggered multiple times, in close succession, they have a tendency to step on each other's toes, so to speak. Which results in incorrect calculations when one flow changes a value that another flow is accessing.
