Looking forward to this change.  I'm hoping that the solution includes not only the ability to specify the From email address but also the ability to fully format the approval email.

Right now, there is too much extraneous text, including my picture which is a total no-go in my environment.

At least give users possibility to use "Created by" from Sharepoint list as "From" in approval e-mail.

Many great UX comments around the approval email on this thread. Our personal business case would like to see the following items:

  • The 'send from' field should allow pulling from Approvers field listed for the flow
  • The 'requested by' approval email shoudl allow pulling from the flow triggering users; for example, the creator of a SharePoint list item that automatically triggered the flow should be higher on the approval reqest email, and the flow creator should be removed
  • Add or remove fields in the approval email itself, much like the confirmation emails sent to the users

This is great news! I don't see it as an option yet. I assume it may take some time to roll this update out through all the SharePoint Online tenants. Any suggestions for how long this might take?

am I doing it wrong?  I see the requestor field and I've changed it.

in the approval email that is sent, my picture and name are still the most prevalent information in the email.

The Requested By information is in small text just below my personal information.

This is a step in the right direction but we aren't quite where we need to be with this solution.

In order to be ideal, my information as the person who created the flow would not be in the email in any way.

@Anonymous

requestor field is a new functionality I have not tested yet, there is a blog page that explains its usage.

What I do is to share the flow with run permissions with users and change the approvall connector (in that flow) to use the Run-user credentials, afterwards all flow are send as the user and they see the approval history and list of approvals.
