The connectors to add users to Office 365 groups was recently added. But that doesn't work for Outlook distribution list groups.
I'd like to be able to use flow to add users to a distribution group
I'm attempting to add new users filtered by job title to specific distribution lists. I'd like the groups to be dynamic and managed automatically with a flow.
It is pretty crazy that you cannot add a user to an Exchange Online Distribution List using flow!
These are listed as groups within the Azure AD management portal.
i also need this feature. what is the problem about this? I always get the error:
I am also facing the same issue as @zlex.
Has anyone found a workaround to this? I couldn't find one myself.
I'm having the same issue. The error I'm getting is "Insufficient privileges to complete the operation". When I look at the distribution group in Azure AD, there is no owner, but when I look at the group in Outlook, I'm listed as the owner.
Flow should support connector for Exechenage online - We are tying to manage DL using flow which failing with same reason.
Same issue in Flow. Always these dumb limitations... Guess it will be a premium activity and will need to pay....
In addition to distributions list/groups, this office365 groups connector for power automate/flow does not work for adding users to mail-enabled security groups which are created in office365 admin portal or azure.
The logic behind the error is that it's "Unable to update the specified properties for objects that have originated within an external service.", but these groups are being created in azure and O365 admin center not exchange, no?
I also want the same feature. We want to make form and use flow to add members in office365 Distribution lists.
This has been an issue for a long time. Azure only supports dynamic security groups or whatever. The issue would be solved if the Azure team could just add a "version 2" of the distribution list. Or mail-enabled security groups.
It's absolutely silly IMO
