You should be able to attach a document to an approval email using flow.
This feature is completed - you can read more here: https://flow.microsoft.com/blog/file-attachments-in-approval-flows/
Thank you for the update @TCambs
Thanks for working on this.
This is exactly what we are looking for.
My workaround for this is to create a seperate email with the files attached then send the approval email. But it might become confusing if multiple approval emails come.
I hope it rolls out soon especially in Thailand.
Quick update: This feature should roll out in the next week or two. There was a slight delay due to some last minute design changes. Thanks for the patience!
@TCambs Any update on availability?
@Anonymous It is set to roll out to Preview next week and release to everyone the week after if everything goes smoothly. A small added feature in the release will be an option in the approval actions to prevent people from reassigning. In the meantime here is what the updated UI looks like:
@TCambswill there be a possibility to take these attachments within flow and put them into doc library for example. For example approval request with attachment was approved and within approve action i can save attachments to library?
@jja We have no plans at the moment to sync attachments with a Sharepoint document library. The attachment data is saved to CDS with the rest of the approval data.
Another quick update: Preview has been experiencing on-going issues this week related to CDS so the release of the attachment feature is probably gonna get pushed back another week or so...
By when this new functionality will be available? We really need this badly. Thanks
