Allow Flow to Create SharePoint a Document Library

Idea:

Allow Flow to create a new Document Library.

Use Case:

As a project repository:

  • Create a List to hold a few columns. (Project ID, Description, Project Owner, Library, Record Creator)
  • Create a SharePoint to SharePoint Flow
    • On New List entry, create a new Doument Library with Name from [List] Project ID, a Description from [List] Description, with Advanced Permissions of Ownership set from [List] Project Owner.
    • After the flow creates the Document Library, it updates the [List] Library column to include a link to the newly made Doument Library

This would allow for a Project Site to have a very easily editable List to create a new project; that is easy to display on the site for end users, is easily searchable, sortable, and an end user can filter their own view to show only their owned projects.

Hi!

You can create a custom site with the help of Plumsail SharePoint connector, which is a part of Plumsail Actions (third party set of connectors for Microsoft Flow with a fair price).

There is an action Create List or Library. You can use Change Permissions action to set permissions on lists, sites or document libraries.

You can find getting started steps in the documentation.

Hi There,

Just the information I was looking for. Thanks for the detailed instructions. I haven’t used it yet but I guess the time has come.
Many of the connectors call for installing a Business Application Monitor locally. Where can I locate this BAM as well as installation instructions?

Also it calls for both the Data Classification and Entitlements Collector to be installed on the SIQ application server? Are these agents installed automatically with SIQ Server?

By the way do you have any YouTube videos, would love to watch it. I would like to connect you on LinkedIn, great to have experts like you in my connection (In case, if you don’t have any issues).
Please keep providing such valuable information.
Thanks,

Rajesh

Not perfect, but you can create a new Document Library using the 'Send an HTTP Request to SharePoint' action as below.
