Change original owner of a flow

Hello,

I have created a couple of flows under my own account, but I want to change it to a generic user in order to make sure that the flows keep running should my account be deleted one day.

I can add an owner to a flow, but behind the scenes I continue to be the original owner it seems. One example is that sending mails in a flow is done showing my name. The same goes for approval mails as part of the 'Start an approval' action.

It would be useful to have some kind of functionality to easily change the original owner of a flow.

Thanks and regards

Wim

For the Flows that you create from the Solutions tab, it is already possible to change the owner. We will also add this functionality to flows on the My flows tab.

I agree having a generic creater of a flow would be great, but we need to take it a step further.

Is there anyway to disable the email received by the creator? Also, is there anyway to disable what what seems to be a confirmation email received once the flow is approved/or declined? All of the emails are driving our managers crazy. Any other suggestions?

@Suep

I'm not a Flow expert (I'm no Microsoft employee either), but I do not know what you mean when you say that confirmation mails are sent out once a flow is approved/declined. In the action Start an Approval there is no such thing unless you create separate confirmation mails later in the Flow?

I created flows for a past job that are still in use. Since I'm the main creator, I still received emails whenever something happens with these flows. There is currently no permanent person in charge so no one wants to be the new "owner" by uploading the flows again. It would be much better if you could change the "creator"/ main owner that way it could be switched whenever an organizational change occurs.

I definitely agree with ownership change. First of all, having all emails being sent from a creator account is rather unacceptable. Second, if the user's account is deleted, this will destroy all flow functionality. There should be a functionality to be able to switch owners or be able to have a group as above mentioned comment.

As there are workarounds with export/inport, it becomes really complex to ensure all new accounts have the right permissions for every app that is created.
