Create a trigger for SharePoint list columns

It would be nice to have a trigger if a certain column in a SharePoint list is modified. For example, if the column "Status" is modified, or if the column "Assigned To" is populated. So we don't have to use the trigger "When an item is created or modified", where you have to create a lot of workaround conditions just to make sure that the column that was updated is what you need.

Hi all,

We understand the pain points expressed here, and we are currently investigating options in building granular flow triggers for item updates and column changes in SharePoint.

We respectfully ask for your continued patience on this topic for the remainder of this calendar year. We are committed to a viable solution for our customers worldwide, and will continue to post updates here as we solidify our plans (which will most likely be early next year). Again, thank you for your patience, and your feedback on Microsoft Flow integrations with SharePoint.

Thanks,

This would help a great deal to have this feature!

@Chakkaradeep Thank you for your attention to this all-important enhancement! Really looking forward to this and other enhancements to Flow. If you ever need an example use case, please feel free to let me know. My organization relies heavily on complex Flows and we have had to create several complicated workarounds to address limitations like this one. Thank you again!

*Ironic*
I read "early next year". Wow, that's only 1.5 years after this topic was opened, and keep in mind that most of the time it was one of the top-chosen topics. This is very fast for a company that works according to customer-oriented agile development methods. * ironic off*

Excuse me for not having good words, but after chatting in other topics, and watching some months in the "ideas-forums" and seeing that it takes very, very long time untill top-chosen ideas are worked on, in times of agile development methods, that's still very disappointed for me.

@Chakkaradeep

In any case, nice to read that you will start to work on this at all!

Please do not forget to bring this topic along, that you promised and therefore closed!

(Found Problems deeply explained on Page 14-15++ in that topic)

In general: Please take a look at the other top-selected topics that are partially several years old here in Flow Ideas and also in MS Forms Ideas.
I think that the top 10-15 of the open ideas out of the hundreds of ideas should be actively worked on. At least in next months, and not in next years.

Thank you!

I wanted to share this video which discusses the Trigger Condition setting on triggers. Please let me know if this helps with the scenarios you're thinking about for this idea:
