Create an item in a list on a variable location

I would like to update an item in a list on a variable location.

It would be great if I can create a identical list for several sites so that I can use a variable as the "site location". This way I can update a specific list without hardcoding the location.

Sure, this will cause issues when the lists are not created consistently.
