Custom SharePoint Action Using REST call

Hi,

Using HTTP service action is a bit complicated to authenticate to Sharepoint Online.

Can we have additional action called like "SharePoint - Custom REST" or something to enter REST url like _api/web/lists/ and get site lists or call other available sharepoint REST calls using users authentication?

Status: Completed

This feature is now available - read more here: https://flow.microsoft.com/blog/share-with-sharepoint-office-365/

Same request for Project Online OData please.

Microsoft

I think this would be a great idea for any of the existing Connectors.

Dynamics & Visual Studio are two that I've been wanting this for lately!

for my usage, it would be to query the attachment file metadata such as path, file name, for a list item. I can simply call REST on SharePoint Designer workflow, but doing the same on Flow requires authentications.  It would be great if we can simplify the authentication steps

Hi Unte,

This is a great idea, looking forward for Microsoft to take it and develop.

You say "is a bit complicated to authenticate to Sharepoint Online", so, you are saying you authenticated indeed? because I haven`t been able to do it, can you reach me out and help me a little with this?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

This was marked as "Under Review" back in April. @KeremY could you provide an update on this idea please? Thanks!

I'm also wondering the status of this request because in one of my flow,  the available sharepoint connector returns an error (The query cannot be completed because the number of lookup columns it contains exceeds the lookup column threshold enforced by the administrator) ... and the rest call to get the list items doesn't return error .. So, would be nice to use it easily - as I'm not a big flow specialist

This should have been the first SharePoint Action for Flow!
