As we know in the approval email there is more text than we want.
Here the text in the box is not from the users side. Its from the flow only. But if anyone wants to remove this text they cant.
Aslo we need to remove the line below 'Request your input' text
So please make it possible so that we can use this flow as we want.
You can now disable the built in email and thus send out a fully customized email with any content you want and buttons / links or whatever presination that can take the user to the approval center. Read more about that here: https://flow.microsoft.com/blog/2019-release-wave-2-plan-and-may-updates-for-microsoft-flow/
Any update? User are misinterpriting the "Created by" by thinking that I am am submitting it on the persons behalf. I did create the flow and approval action, but I am not part of the approval process. Can that be removed or at the very least make it so that I can change that to the service account.
@Anonymous my problem is the same of yours; you spoke about adaptive cards, have you some info to implement it into standard approval task of flow? I do not image how to do what you suggest
Adding myself to this one. The new option for multiple choices doesn't do much if you can't explain what they user is approving. Being able to present the content they are approving similar to the standar email body with dynamic content would really make this complete.
@Stephen Hello Stephen, can we expect this feature by end of this year ? Also, it would be great if html is allowed in the body.
Thanks for the update!
I notice you can use the approval outputs 'adaptive card', 'details', 'respond link' but they don't render in the email using the mail or O365 Send an email action. Is there any guidance how you can use those in a notification mail?
You'll have to use HTML to populate a link, for example. The Adaptive cards today only work inside of Microsoft Teams -- there are techincal limitations that don't permit customized Adaptive cards in Outlook.
However, since we support HTML email you can make the email look and feel however you would like.
So to send the email out with the approval or rejection buttons, the only choice is to use the Send email with options?
