Would like to trigger some flows from emails received by a SharePoint Site mailbox.
When I try adding a mailbox, I'm prompted for my credentials, which links my personal account, but I can't see a way of linking to another shared mailbox. I can't authenticated as the site mailbox.
Edit on 2018/March/01:
thanks for the prompt @Karuana.
the original suggestion was from 2016, status updated to under review in March 2017, and now that SPO Mailboxes are deprecated, not much point in pursuing this.
The core intent of the idea was to have a suitable alternative to the document library email address features we had on-prem.
those were great, and in my anedoctal experience, heavily used.
Couldn't agree more. Tried the Outlook.MAPIFolder FolderPath and FullFolderPath. Seemed logical, but unfortunately doesn't work.
SharePoint Site Mailboxes are being deprecated. Please don't invest in this @Stephen... I think it's better to support Office 365 Groups instead.
agreed. Groups would be more relevant now.
I am working with a customer, who would also like a Flow to trigger a notification into their Microsoft Teams space, when a mail arrives in their Outlook O365 group mailbox.
I have tested this successfully with my personal mailbox and an O365 groups bases Teams space, but this doesnt seem to work for the Inbox of the Group and flow fails with 'REST API is not yet supported for this mailbox. This error can occur for sandbox (test) accounts or for accounts that are on a dedicated (on-premise) mail server. clientRequestId: 5612a160-f7d1-4917-aa58-2b2707fce0dd'.
as echoe'd above, this would be hugely relevant to streamline O365 groups based activity into a single appliccation layer such as Teams. Any idea whether this is on the roadmap?
Support for SPO Site mailox - No! (depricated feature)
Support for O365 Groups Mailbox - Yes, please
@Karuana totally agree with you. 🙂
