We use Flow to create recurring tasks in Planner. It would be helpful to be able to include a checklist within this task.
I would also like to include a link to a document into a task.
My use case is I want to start a task when a new document in a folder is created. It would make sense to also include this document / the link to the document in the task.
I agree that this would be very helpful!
I was just trying to figure out how to do this.
We have some processes that we would like to have a standard checklist automatically show up on a given task when it is created in a specific Planner group/bucket.
I think I found a solution.
There's now an action called "Update Task Details", where you can add multiple lines of text.
I now use this to add the link of a created document which triggers the flow in the first place and a general .
This idea/suggestion in this thread is regarding creating & updating planner checklists. @SarahLauer if you have an idea (such as linking docs) please find or create an idea/suggestion specific to that purpose rather than using a marginally related thread.
@plb , while slightly off topic, it was a part of the general user request in the feature, which at least has a small work around.
I must have missed it in the "general user request" - everything I saw (viewing pages 1-2 and 6-8 - may have missed some comments in between) had to do specifically with checklists. In any event, it's not a big deal. I just saw her comment saying that she had found a solution and spent the time to come looking because the checklist is something I still need - then I got here and realized her solution was to another problem.
In any event, not a big deal. Just wanted to make sure we stayed on topic as much as possible.

By the time Microsoft gets to this uservoice request it will be 2 years old and they too would miss the context of what was being requested and then ignore or implement something totally different.
Definitely a very useful function to added. Agreed.
