When sending an approval email through Flow, if no answer is received within 30 days, the Flow times out and fails.
In some cases, 30 days is not enough time to receive an approval.
Please increase Flow approval timeout to 60 or 90 days.
You can now do this with the new Create Approval (v2) action. Read more here: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/2019-release-wave-2-plan-and-may-updates-for-microsoft-flow/
I proposed a variation called the flow controller pattern https://sergeluca.wordpress.com/2018/11/26/new-flow-state-machine-pattern-with-unlimited-running-tim...
We plan to soon make it possible to have an approval process that is not tied to a particular automated flow run. This means it will be able to span as much time as you want for the process.
Jeez... Stephen 😎. Let me guess : p1 ?
We desperately need this feature!
Is there any update yet from the MS Flow Team for when the 30day time out restriction will be removed ?
In the meantime you can implement my flow controller pattern https://youtu.be/e8Nuswofodw (video 2, hands on lab is coming soon)...
@Stephen : Any news regarding flow timeouts? If flow should be a used for business process MS must extend the timeout.
@MichaelKammerer - yes there should be an announcement in the next week or so.
Is there an update this will be rolled out? I know there is a lot of us waiting for this feature. Is there a date that we can check back to confirm it has been done so we can update some of our current flows. Can you please make sure to post a link or some reference material for us, please.
@Stephen Has this been released yet? I noiced the flow announcment this month did not mention anything about this must have feature??
